Santa Clara Dog Training Club, Inc. (SCDTC) is an American Kennel Club (AKC) member obedience club that was founded in 1954. Our members participate in a variety of activities with their dogs, including obedience, conformation, agility, tracking, search and rescue, and therapy dog work. The Club hosts an annual obedience trial, an annual agility trial, and holds weekly obedience and conformation training classes. We also support canines in our communities by periodically holding AKC Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International tests and purchasing bulletproof vests for police dogs.
All Club activities are possible only through the work of our members and all members are asked to participate, whether that is by serving on the Board of Directors, as a Committee Chair, as a steward at a trial, or any number of other tasks that it takes to run the Club.
To join, you will need to take a class or two and be sponsored by two members.
